Lorelei at 2 months! We had a very busy and very fun month! We are all so glad that it’s warming up so that means we are spending lots of time outside. Lorelei is taking wonderful naps & nursing as the bigs play. She is such a chill baby, I’ve been hearing that baby #3 is really relaxed. That’s been our experience so far with our girl!
I do have to say Lorelei does NOT enjoy tummy time right now, but we are of course still trying! Having two bigs running around with a baby trying to do tummy time is quite different than our last tummy time with Everett! haha I think she will come around and like it soon!
She is pretty tiny, but she is gaining weight. They keep having us go in for weight checks along with check ups. She is growing the way she should she is just down in the 6th percentile which my first two have always been on the smaller side too. She also started drooling, which is normal but I’ve never had a baby drool this early!
I thought one day I would go up in the atic and see what baby clothes we have up their. I was thinking it was like 1-2 storage bags. Well that was like 2 weeks of sorting and washing TONS of Olivia’s baby clothes. I apparently kept all of it. I am so thankful their seasons line up somehow and I think I’ll be able to use a lot of Via’s clothes. Which makes this sentimental mama happy. Despite all the extra laundry I’m glad that I got it all down now so we can use some!
Actually some of the outfits are even older than Via and came from their cousin Ella who will be 9 in a few months!!
I went back to shooting weddings (just some here and there!). But goodness I have a lot of mixed feelings about it. I think this is totally normal. I’m pretty early on in my postpartum journey so yet lots of hormones all over the place. It was good and it was just also a lot physically/emotionally/preparing the whole family and trying bottles with L.
Finally we actually made a trip down to Charleston for my sister’s college graduation!! It was INSANELY HOT!!! We could barely be outside through the ceremony crowded around a bunch of people, it was intense. Nick ended up in the car with the big two and me and L found some cooler areas til the rain came! Praise the Lord for a quick rain to cool it all down!
The graduation party after was fun and Lorelei got passed around for snuggles. I indulged on some treats & then we hit the beach for a beautiful sunset. The water felt incredible and the kids just ran and ran. We were able to have a beautiful beach day and let Lorelei in the water a bit! Lorelei LOVES sleeping outside in the heat, it’s just magical. We used our wagon for her naps or just relaxed with her in our arms.
We had a lot of fun but it was a bit more work having 3 little ones to keep up with at the beach! I’m so happy we got to go together.
I hope you enjoy Lorelei at 2 months!! ( L’s 1 Month Blog!)
Hugs
Carissa
