Last year I had a personal goal to do 4 family sessions for my own family. My kiddos are growing so wildly fast and every few months they are changing. I want this documented because it’s too easy to forget these sweet phases they go through.
Since we are now into 2023 I have set the same goal of doing at least 4 full family sessions. This is not including any little sessions I do with just the kiddos or like mommy and me. Or even couple sessions with Nick. I know that seems like a lot, but I really love doing photos. And the kids don’t always act like little angels; so it’s nice to have several chances in a year to get really good smiling at the camera shots. I love to showcase their personalities and sweet faces.
I always do birthday portraits for the kids and “Back to School” photos myself, plus any fun milestones. We just did some photos after Via lost her first tooth, that was fun, and extra sweet since Everett decided to pop in for a few too! You can see those images here!!
I am feeling pretty good about where we are because as I’m writing this we have already done 2 full sessions!! Wild! We did this session I’m posting today at Furman in February, and the blooms came out early so we just did a peach orchard session in March!!!
One of my ideas is to do a Mountain Top location (possibly somewhere on the blue ridge parkway). I was envisioning cool colors, maybe some blues and whites. I wanted a long flowy dress for myself for this vision.
My next thought was to book another photographer to wherever we end up going on our family vacation this year! I think it would be so fun to have a destination family session! This would give us a totally new look- either a new city or scenery depending on where we end up! we haven’t quite figured out our vacation yet!
I hope you enjoy our family photos from Furman and my ideas for our next family sessions! Be sure to check back for our peach orchard session!!
Hugs
