Joshua and Allison Black Balsam Knob Engagement Session
This year I started working with Front Row Films– helping to cover their photography needs for weddings. I am already booked for several of their weddings for next year, one of which is Joshua and Allison’s! I am SO excited to share with you Joshua and Allison on Black Balsam Knob for their engagement session. It was absolutely stunning and I 100% recommend making a trip up the Blue ridge parkway and climbing up for the views!
First thing you should know is that despite living in the upstate for the last 6 years I have not driven the blue ridge parkway. Shocking I know. So everything about this experience with Joshua and Allison was new to me! Except taking photos, I got that down pretty well! Hahaha
It was a bit chilly out that day, so I of course was like yeah I’m going to need some layers. I knew the higher you go the colder it gets. If you know me then you know I’m already cold all the time anyways, so layers were necessary. Plus hand warmers. Always hand warmers. Ever tried to photograph someone and can’t feel your fingers?? Not good!!
The hike up to the top was not bad at all. If I wasn’t carrying a shoulder bag then it would have been much easier. I also wore the complete wrong socks, they kept slipping off my feet. But there was no way I was taking them off.
Joshua and Allison were absolute CHAMPS!! They braved the cold and got amazing photos! Plus there was some wicked wind going on, which you’ll see in the photos. I am so excited that I get to photograph these two next year while they say their I dos! They are incredibly sweet and loving and I just love surrounding myself with people just like them. I already know their families and friends are going to be so fun and charming to work with.
I hope you enjoy Joshua and Allison’s chilly, windy, and BEAUTIFUL engagement session on Black Balsam Knob!
Hugs,
Carissa
