Lane and Emma Moss Oak Farmhouse Proposal

My goodness was it nerve wracking keeping this big of a secret from my baby sister. Emma is the youngest of the 8 of us. If you’ve followed me for any length of time you have seen Lane and Emma several times! They have been talking about getting married this coming summer but Lane just HAD NOT ASKED!!!! Emma I think was almost in pain because he simply had not asked! But I think Lane and Emma had a beautiful proposal at Moss Oak Farmhouse in Travelers Rest right after Thanksgiving.

Lane finally bought the ring and told me and a few other special individuals. We started planning how we could make this a complete surprise to Emma. I had come up with the idea to have them model for me for photos. So I would be there with my camera, they would be dressed cute, and have a cute back ground. We were working with that idea.

Moss Oak Farmhouse advertising for Christmas minis on instagram. I had been driving by it for months and months and just thought it was SO cute. I reached out to the owner Tab and shared everything. She was SO game to make this a staged modeling session turned proposal!

I went early and set up some candles and flower petals inside the barn. Lane and Emma brought their sweet friend Landon home for thanksgiving with our family and it was so great having some extra help and someone to take an adorable video.

We started taking some portraits out front, Emma totally peeked through the door cracks and I think all 3 of us almost pooped our pants!! I quickly grabbed a few fun shots of them and of just Emma. Then I told them we could go check inside the barn to see it! So I let Lane and Emma open the doors together, and Emma says “aw wow she decorated!” I started laughing but was trying to keep it hushed. It took Emma a good minute to realize what was happening, but I’ll let you see how everything unfolded in the photos!
