Now that it has been 6+ months since we took this trip to California I have officially edited all my camera photos and am ready to blog them!
I’m an over shooter so it was quite the task to work through these photos, also it’s my family so I am especially biased and think that all the ones with Via are adorable.
This trip was a week long and we stayed in Coronado, California but we wandered all over Southern California. We had several places we wanted to see again or see for the
first time and also we had a list of restaurants we HAD to go back to. One of my ALL TIME FAVORITE places to eat in California is Pedros Tacos, so we definitely hit that up pretty quickly!
Another reason why it took so long to get these done was because this trip was right before Thanksgiving, so we came back and had a few days before thanksgiving and then less than a week after thanksgiving
I had a business trip to Richmond, Virginia for a couple days….and somewhere in the middle of all of that crazy we got PREGNANT! So I have been exhausted basically since then and I’m just glad these photos are done and ready to share! All of my phone pictures and videos are on my Instagram California Highlights!!
We spent the first evening and morning doing a lot of walking around Coronado, grabbing pizza and having breakfast at this adorable old fashion diner.
This is the San Diego skyline view from Coronado. Because of the time difference we woke up SUPER early basically every morning we were there. I wont lie it was kind of nice and Olivia always took a nap!
There was a hot tub on the roof of our hotel, Olivia loved it and I would have loved it more if it hadn’t been on the roof!
Our first beach day was so fun and we had the perfect weather!
Sometimes I swear these two are the same person…hahaha!
Evolution of Olivia’s fall as the wave came in..
And dada was there to save the day since I was busy taking pictures and laughing!
Anything cuter than a baby booty?!
OLIVIA LET US BURY HER!!!
I think she actually enjoyed it!
Nicks request for this trip was to beach hop!! So we did!! ALL day! I don’t remember the names of all the beaches but I’ll try!
This is La Jolla, where you can always see a ton of seals.
Yes, I am that mom who thinks my baby’s crying face is adorable…and totally sad at the same time.
If anyone wants to print any water, landscape, etc portraits from this post just send me a message! I am obsessed with these colors.
Coincidentally wore similar colors to the water on this beach hopping day!
If you look down right on the sand are where the seals like to chill and you have to be careful when you’re walking on this walkway because you can absolutely get splashed with some big waves crashing!
I actually carried my breast pump bag for this whole trip because it has a big opening that works perfect for my camera, tons of pockets to put my essentials and room for a couple extra outfits for Via!
This is Blacks Beach, lots of surfers here and it might have been the prettiest/scariest view we saw!
The scooter is super random…but once you walk around San Diego you find out why…they are EVERYWHERE. Like uber scooters you can just pick up and leave off wherever apparently.
This photo is one that I am planning on printing, I’m just trying to figure out how I want to print it and where to put it!
We rented basically the same mini van we already own, so that did make some things more simple with our bags and stroller. I will forever rent a mini van with having kids!!
This might be Del Mar, I’m not sure.
I forget the other beaches we went to but we ended the night with a very short visit to the Santa Monica Pier!
To counteract the sitting and driving we did we walked around Balboa Park!
SEVERAL years ago I had an anniversary session right at this spot in Balboa Park!
Gotta get the nose picking shot!
This girl can make friends anywhere she goes, these big girls loved playing with her…but I don’t think they realized how much Olivia loved watching and playing with them.
We got to meet up with my friend Tyler and her sweet family while we were there, Madison and Olivia clicked right away and played like they had known each other all their lives!
When two- two year olds try to explain something to you?!
Enjoying her breakfast bagel sandwich while we walked to the ferry!
We rode the ferry just because and walked around San Diego for a little while.
Our last night we got to take a few portraits on the beach together and I am so thankful we took the time to do this. I love love my little family.
The face you make when you realize you are leaving the beach :/
